Admission Requirements
 

The University of Minnesota Office of Admissions handles all applications for undergraduate admissions to the Department of Food Science and Nutrition. The Department of Food Science and Nutrition is jointly adminstered by the College of Human Ecology and the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences until June 2006. After this date, Food Science and Nutrition programs will be administered exclusively by the College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS). Due to university restructuring, admission to the College of Human Ecology is closed. Once you are admitted as a Nutrition major, you become a member of CFANS.

College of Food, Agricultural and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) students work on issues that make a real difference in the quality of our daily lives. CFANS students enroll in programs leading to careers in science, animal science, food science, nutrition, environmental science, environmental horticulture, and plant science, as well as business, communication and education. The college is consistently ranked at the top nationally.  CFANS admissions.

Orientation

The Orientation and First Year Programs (OFYP) office provides orientation to new freshmen and transfer students.  Contact OFYP or (CFANS) for orientation help and information.
